Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand the life around local music, from how a scene shares its work to how a space shapes the way people listen. A useful proposal starts with a clear question and a distinct idea.
What to pitch
Send an original angle on local music culture, such as collaboration, venues, discovery or participation. Evergreen subjects are especially welcome when they explain a choice, compare approaches or make a familiar practice easier to understand. A pitch should not depend on unverified claims, a sales message or access to confidential information.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the central question, the main point readers will take away and why it matters beyond one narrow example. Explain the scope and any specialised terms the piece would need to define. Mention relevant experience only if it directly supports the proposed work; do not send sensitive or confidential material.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline and the category that best fits. A proposal is not a commission, and we may ask for a clearer angle before deciding whether it fits the publication.
Music culture is made together
A scene is more than a list of performers. It grows through spaces, shared effort and the ways people find and welcome one another.
